Heat exchanger fatigue test

For some demanding application, where a lot of stop and start cycles are required, fatigue life prediction is a key point. Thanks to the ACTE spiral geometry, the behaviour of the heat exchanger surfaces during transient operation can be analytically determined as a function of the geometrical and operational parameters of the core. The thousands cycles guaranteed by this geometry have been confirmed by testing a sample of heat exchanger on a tailor-made test bench.
